In Britanny between men you have to shake hand. But in France we don't shake, we "serrons la main" witch means to press hand. If you are a woman or a man meeting a woman, you normaly shake hand if you don't know very well the other people or if you want to keep distance.

When to do "la bise"?
For man to man it is only inside the family (father and sons, brothers...)For women, you do "la bise" when you don't shake hand (yes, good help!). Seriously it is when you know well the other, your neighbourgs in little village, friends...
The best things is to observe if the natal is going to move foward the head or the hand. Sometimes you make 1, 2, 3 or 4 kisses. In Cléguérec it is often 4, bet when you are kissins you can say "deux" witch means you will make two kisses
